Sports have been a constant in my life since I was 5 years old. My life revolved around each sports season. My teammates became my closest friends and one of those friends was Conner. Conner was by my side as a teammate and friend throughout high school. My freshman year, at the University of Oklahoma, Conner took his own life. That awful moment in my life eventually lead me to understand that while sports will always be important, my WHY now had a greater purpose. I needed to become an advocate for mental health with the hope that I might help others make it through tough times.
